Working with us
Who is Concept 2 Consumer for?
We work with entrepreneurs who have a product idea and limited resources, and with companies that want to introduce a product outside their core competency. You can start at any stage: an idea, a prototype, or a product that is already selling.
What happens after I submit my product idea?
Every submission is reviewed personally. If there is a fit, we talk through your goals, constraints and budget, candidly, and then write a proposal scoped to your product. A project manager and our network of strategic partners carry the work forward with you.
What does it cost?
Every program is custom-tailored to your product, so we scope it in a proposal after we have reviewed your request. We'll be candid about budget and fit from the first conversation.
What if my idea isn't a fit?
We will tell you honestly if it is not a fit yet. If your product or timing is not right for us, we say so plainly rather than take on a project we cannot do well.
Do I have to use all of your services?
No. You can use one service, or combine several into one program so nothing falls between vendors. Every program is scoped to what your product needs.
Process
How does your process work?
Our process follows our eight service categories: Market Research & Validation, Intellectual Property, Product Design & Development, Prototyping, Sourcing & Manufacturing, Brand, Web & Packaging Development, Marketing & Sales, and Logistics. You do not have to begin at stage one, and you can hire us for a single service.
How long will it take?
It depends on your product and on which services your program includes. Your proposal will include a realistic schedule, and we only promise what we can deliver.
IP & confidentiality
Do you give legal or patent advice?
No. Our Intellectual Property service is consulting and general information, not legal advice. For legal questions about patents, trademarks, copyrights or your rights, talk to a licensed attorney, or to a registered patent attorney or agent for patents. No patent, trademark or copyright outcome is promised.
Should I send confidential details with my request?
Please describe your idea at a high level. You don't need to include confidential details in the request form. What you type into our forms stays in your own browser until you choose to email it to us or download a copy.
Manufacturing & retail
Can you help with sourcing and manufacturing?
Yes. Our Manufacturing service covers sourcing, manufacturing management, packaging and logistics, and we work with outside vendors and strategic partners where a project needs them.
Can you promise my product will get into stores or sell?
No. No one can promise shelf placement or sales, and we do not. We help you prepare: packaging, displays, a sales deck for buyer presentations, and guidance on meeting retailer and regulatory standards.
