Program · Idea to production-ready design
Product Development
From idea to a design a factory can build, as one managed project.
Every request is reviewed personally.
The problem
Development has a dozen hand-offs, and each one is a chance to lose the thread.
Concept, industrial design, CAD, prototyping and engineering are different disciplines. Run separately, they drift. Run together, they add up to a product.
- You have an idea and no clear path to a design you can manufacture.
- You've been managing freelancers and nobody owns the whole result.
- You want one team and one project manager from concept to production-ready files.
Fit
Who we consider for the Product Development program
For products at the beginning, and for owners who want the whole development managed as one project.
Who this is for
- You have a product idea, or an early concept, and want it taken to a production-ready design.
- You expect several rounds of design and want them managed, reviewed and documented.
- You want engineering for manufacturability built in, not bolted on.
Not for you yet
- You only need one step, such as a concept or a rendering. See the Product Design & Development services
- Your design is ready and you need it made. See the Contract Manufacturing program
- You haven't checked whether there's a market. See Market Research
What the Product Development program includes

How it works
How it works
A program is a longer-term project, assigned to a project manager who uses our internal resources and strategic partners to deliver what your proposal sets out. When a project needs outside expertise, such as specialized testing and certification labs, marketing or creative agencies, or logistics and packaging suppliers, we manage those vendors and specialists for you.
Tell us what you need
Share your project and where it stands today. A line or two is plenty.
Initial consultation
If there's a fit, we talk through your goals, constraints, timing and budget, candidly.
Tailored proposal
A proposal scoped to what you need: what we'll do and what it takes.
Dedicated partnership
A project manager and our network of strategic partners carry the work forward with you.
FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
What's the difference between the program and the individual design services?
The services are single steps you can buy on their own. The program runs the whole sequence (concepting, industrial design, CAD, prototyping and engineering for manufacturability) under one project manager, with design reviews in between.
Who owns the designs?
You do. The files, models and documentation are yours.
What do I need to start?
An idea and a conversation. Keep the details high-level in your request; we'll go deeper once there's a fit.
Does the program include manufacturing?
It ends with a production-ready design. Manufacturing is its own program, Contract Manufacturing, and the two are designed to hand off cleanly.
What does it cost?
Every program is custom-tailored to your product, so we scope it in a proposal after we have reviewed your request. We'll be candid about budget and fit from the first conversation.
What happens after I submit?
Every request is reviewed personally, and we'll be in touch about next steps.
