Barcode Hierarchy
The right code on every unit, inner pack and case, before a retailer asks.
Every request is reviewed personally.
The problem
Wrong barcodes stop products at the door.
Retailers and distributors scan at every step. If the codes on the unit, the display and the carton don't line up, orders get rejected and shipments get held.
- You've been asked for a UPC or GTIN and don't know where to begin.
- You don't know how many units should go in a carton, or in a display.
- You've got codes but no structure connecting unit, pack and case.

FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
What's the difference between a UPC and a GTIN?
A GTIN is the global identifier for a trade item; a UPC is the twelve-digit barcode form of it used in North America. Every sellable unit, inner pack and case needs its own GTIN, and that structure is the hierarchy.
Where do the codes come from?
GTINs are issued through GS1, the organization that runs the barcode standard. We handle the setup so your codes are legitimately yours and correctly assigned to each level of packaging.
What does 'optimized display and carton quantities' mean?
How many units go in a display, and how many displays or units go in a shipping carton, worked out for efficient handling, shelf replenishment and freight. Getting it wrong costs money at every step of distribution.
Do marketplaces like Amazon need this too?
Yes. Marketplaces generally require a valid GTIN per listing, and they check it. A proper hierarchy avoids listing problems later.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is scoped to what you need, so we price it in a proposal after we have reviewed your request. We'll be candid about budget and fit from the first conversation.
What happens after I submit?
Every request is reviewed personally, and we'll be in touch about next steps.
