Patents
Protect the invention before you show it to the world.
Every request is reviewed personally.
The problem
Once it's public, it's harder to protect.
Showing a product at a trade show, listing it online or pitching it to a retailer can start clocks you don't know are running.
- You don't know whether your idea is patentable, or whether someone has already patented it.
- You're about to pitch, list or exhibit, and you haven't protected anything.
- You've heard the process is expensive and confusing, so you've put it off.
Fit
Who we consider for Patents
For inventors and businesses with a product innovation worth protecting.
Who this is for
- You've developed something new in how a product works or looks.
- You're preparing to manufacture, sell or pitch and want protection in place first.
- You want someone to manage the review and filing so you can focus on the product.
Not for you yet
- You want to protect a brand name or logo, not an invention. See Trademark Registration
- You want to protect written content, images or software. See Copyright Protection

FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
Are you patent attorneys?
No. Concept 2 Consumer is a product development company, not a law firm. We manage the patent review and filing process for you and bring in the registered patent professionals that a filing requires. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
What does the review tell me?
What existing patents cover ground near your product, where the gaps are and whether a filing looks worthwhile. You receive it as a patent review summary before any filing decision is made.
Does a patent mean nobody can copy me?
A granted patent gives you the right to stop others from making, using or selling what it claims, in the country that granted it. Enforcing that right is up to you. We can't promise a patent will be granted, or that it will stop a determined copier.
When should I file?
Before you disclose the invention publicly, as a rule. Pitching, exhibiting and selling can all affect your options, so ask early. It's a far better conversation than the one after.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is scoped to what you need, so we price it in a proposal after we have reviewed your request. We'll be candid about budget and fit from the first conversation.
What happens after I submit?
Every request is reviewed personally, and we'll be in touch about next steps.
