Trademark Registration

Make sure the name is yours before you print it on anything.

Request to be considered

Every request is reviewed personally.

The problem

A name you can't own is a liability.

Packaging, a website, signage and ads all carry your name. If someone else has rights to it, you may have to redo all of them.

  • You've picked a name and started using it without checking whether it's available.
  • You're not sure what a trademark actually protects, or what it doesn't.
  • You've seen a similar name and don't know whether it's a problem.

  1. Tell us what you need

Share your project and where it stands today. A line or two is plenty.

  2. Initial consultation

If there's a fit, we talk through your goals, constraints, timing and budget, candidly.

  3. Tailored proposal

A proposal scoped to what you need: what we'll do and what it takes.

  4. Dedicated partnership

A project manager and our network of strategic partners carry the work forward with you.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Are you trademark attorneys?

No. Concept 2 Consumer is not a law firm. We manage the search and the registration process and bring in qualified professionals where the filing requires them. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

What does the search tell me?

Whether the same or a confusingly similar mark is already registered or in use for similar goods and services. You receive a trademark search report, so you decide with your eyes open.

Can I register a name someone else is already using?

Often not, if the uses are similar enough to confuse customers. That's exactly what the search is for, and it's why we recommend searching before you print anything.

What's the difference between a trademark and a copyright?

A trademark protects the identifiers of your brand: names, logos, slogans. A copyright protects original creative work: writing, images, software. Many businesses need both.

What does it cost?

Every engagement is scoped to what you need, so we price it in a proposal after we have reviewed your request. We'll be candid about budget and fit from the first conversation.

What happens after I submit?

Every request is reviewed personally, and we'll be in touch about next steps.
