Competitor Research

Find the gap your competitors have left open.

Request to be considered

Every request is reviewed personally.

The problem

You can't out-position competitors you haven't studied.

Every category you enter already has players in it. Buyers will compare you with them whether or not you've done the comparison yourself.

  • You know the names but not their strengths, weaknesses or pricing.
  • You're not sure what makes your offering different, or whether the difference matters to a buyer.
  • You're guessing at the market share you can realistically take.

Fit

Who this is for

  • You're launching a product or service into a market with existing competitors.

  4. Dedicated partnership

A project manager and our network of strategic partners carry the work forward with you.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

How many competitors do you cover?

The key ones in your category: the brands your customers will actually compare you with. We agree the list with you in your proposal.

How is this different from Market Research?

Market Research looks at the whole landscape: trends, customer behavior and growth. Competitor Research looks at specific companies: what they sell, how they price and position, and where they're weak. Many clients do both; they answer different questions.

Will you tell me how to beat them?

We identify the gaps and the opportunities to differentiate, and give you strategic insights for competitive advantage. How you act on them is a sales and marketing decision, which we can also help with.

Where does the information come from?

Publicly available sources: competitors' products, pricing, marketing, listings, reviews and industry data. We don't use anything confidential or improperly obtained.

What does it cost?

Every engagement is scoped to what you need, so we price it in a proposal after we have reviewed your request. We'll be candid about budget and fit from the first conversation.

What happens after I submit?

Every request is reviewed personally, and we'll be in touch about next steps.
